Training
In the following video clip, Ariel is using the Weaver Leather egg and spoon training tool that Stacy Westfall promotes on her website. It has a plastic handle that is easy to hold, a fairly flat spoon component and a small rubber ball attached with a thin elastic string to the handle.
Coralie has enjoyed training her 8 year old Thoroughbred Canuck. He started his career as a saddle horse a little late. Barry Dornon worked through some basic issues with Canuck (like not rearing at the drop of a hat, learning to be tied, trailer loading, negotiating obstacles and trail riding). After a few months with Barry, Coralie got Canuck ready for the dressage show arena. In 2010 he showed beautifully at Intro level, scoring with Ariel aboard in the upper 6o's consistently.
